hey!
julie here!
welcome to my website. i haven't set up anything yet, but stuff will come eventually, so hold on!
find me on various socials:
here's some questions i imagine would be asked!!
i am trans (scary!!). wokenouns are she/they/it. more details can be found on my pronouns.page
(not my favorite site so i plan on migrating it here but whatever its good enough for now)
i want to preface this by saying that i don't know whether it's capitol or capital for
letters.
i'm going to go google that, hold on
it is apparently capital, via merriam webster. weird, huh?
ok, so back to the actual question, it's just for funzies. i think it sets a specific tone
which i don't think i can quite describe but it is how i like to write. Nonetheless, I can
write in a much more educated and formal matter; I merely choose not to, for I find that style
of writing to be soulless and boring.
(perhaps if you personally think this is bad, either for accessibility or just personal preference,
message me somewhere and i'll make it a toggle.)
julie is my real name, colonthreeing is my pen name.
weirdly enough, khan academy's javascript tutorial. it was my first venture into "real" programming - ie, text based rather than block coding. no shade to block coders though- they make some crazy things.
svelte and shadcn-svelte, with a bit of lucide sprinkled in. i
quite like all of them :3
as for code editing, i have been writing this in zed, although i usually use jetbrains
(with github education, it's free- would recommend. probably not something i'd pay for
though.)
to tell the truth? just wanted the domain so i could give friends a
server.julies-stuff.dev link instead of an ip address. i even already had a webpage before this one, though that one was much less about me and a lot more about my projects. this one is
more personal, for better or for worse.
also, i wanted an excuse to use svelte again, it'd been a while
originally this said "i fucking hate centering divs" but then i centered the div later
now this is still here because i locked the size and centered it so there's a giant margin on the sides, so its still empty, and i get to talk about centering divs
rest in peace, <center>. you will be missed greatly.
i believe in the free internet. please feel free to steal my code. credit is appreciated, but not required. if the license on something that i have doesn't permit using it, then maybe steer clear of it (i won't come after you, but it might be an upstream issue, so better safe than sorry). also, i'd ask that you don't use it for commercial projects without credit.
steal my code on my github: @colonthreeing
i like the shadcn ui library because it's really simple
unfortunately it is not the most opinionated thing
i still try to put a more human touch on it though
